We desire to serve the Lord and our community through various ministries here at Big Springs Baptist Church. We have multiple ministries where you can find a place to connect and serve.
Senior Ministry - Live Embers
Live Embers began in 1991 for the Senior Adults of Big Springs Baptist Church.
There is a program and lunch at the church and some day trips.
We visit the shut-ins of our church and do volunteer work for missions.
Meetings are normally held on the first Tuesday of the month at 11:00 a.m.
If you are 55 or over, please come visit with us.
Sunday School
Big Springs Baptist Church has a Sunday School class for every age ranging from the Nursery to the Senior Adult.
Sunday School Classes meet from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Everyone is welcome to meet at 9 a.m. for complimentary donuts, coffee, and juice!
Sunday School lessons are taught by people who have a heart for sharing and learning together.
A great deal of flexibility is allowed in this area.
Discussion is open and encouraged but not mandatory.
Sunday School literature is available to be taken home and studied during the week.

Children (Ages 6-12 years)
Youth (Ages 13 - 18 years)
Adults 1 (Ages 19 - 49 years)
Adults 2 (Ages 50 - 60 years)
Adults 3 (Ages 61 - 74 years)
Adults 4 (Ages 75+ years)
Music Ministry
Big Springs is committed to the idea that worship is primary in the life of the Christian.
An attitude of worship is fully integrated within the individual's personal and public life.
We believe music and the other arts are effective tools to aid us in our worship of God.
Music and the arts speak to our emotions and can often express great depths of passion
and commitment. God compels us to sing "hymns, songs and spiritual songs"
as we express our love and gratitude to Him.
We also believe that making music together is an act of community. Not only singing together congregationally, but in smaller groups such as a choir, a choral ensemble, or an instrumental group. People can find a place of service within these groups and can contribute their own unique talents and gifts to the body of Christ.
The Ministry of Music, Worship and the Arts at Big Springs consists of the following regular activities.
Sanctuary Choir (open to everyone)
Wednesdays 7:00-8:15 p.m.
As new ideas and talents emerge, we prayerfully consider adding new groups!
Women's Ministry
The BSBC Women's Ministry meets twice a month (second and fourth Mondays) at 9 a.m.
The emphasis from January to May is a book study.
The emphasis from September to November is doing mission projects.
The BSBC Women's Ministry exists to grow in knowing and loving God, to fellowship together,
and to serve others in Jesus' name.
